Over Easter I was lucky enough to win a giveaway over at Clementine's Shoes, and Di very thoughtfully hand delivered my prize this morning - a copy of this book!
Ollie and I were headed to Spotlight when I received the book, so I ripped open the parcel in the carpark to check how much fabric I needed to buy, and got straight into it! There is so much inspiration in this book that I'm not sure where to start in regards to embellishing my skirt - but I did buy enough fabric for a couple of skirts, so i can choose a couple of designs to start with. I'm not bold enough to use as much colour and embellishment as is shown in the book, so I will do mine on a smaller scale.Di also included a really sweet fat quarter of a gorgeous Japanese cotton print. Thanks Di!
And thanks to Ollie for taking the photo of me wearing my newly-sewn but not-yet-embellished skirt!

I have a copy of that book too! It's fantastic and I've made 3 different skirts, that I LOVE based on the pattern in the book!

Lucky you, I've been eying that skirt off for a long time & asked my library to order it but alas no luck so far.
Now I really want it, the skirt looks perfect!
