Ollie is a little obsessed with robots at the moment. Loves to act like a robot (Ollie Robot). Always wanting us to control the robot (Ollie) with a pretend remote control (robot jump, robot walk etc).
He has recently started constructing his own robots out of duplo blocks.
His current repertoire also includes rocket ships.I've just spied this amigurumi robot book at The Crafty Crow. I might just have to get my hands on a copy!

when my daughter was little it was dogs she was obsessed with. She would constantly bark and crawl around on all fours. She even insisted on having a tail (whatever long bit of fabric she could find and tuck into her pants!) I think the robot thing would have been better than a dog! probably more quiet anyway! they are so cute when they have their one little thing they just love aren't they?!
Cute! You know, when they have an obsession like this, they will learn heaps about their chosen topic. My eldest (at about age 4) was obsessed with space and instead of watching Bob the Builder or Thomas, he watched the BBC series The Planets over and over (and over...and over...) Drove us nuts but he knew the names of all of the moons of Jupiter and the history of the Space Race and a whole heap more.
Its natural learning at its most fun!
